About the event
The COVID-19 infections reporting each day in Sri Lanka reach a new high. The highest daily average was reported in the last couple of days just a tad above 2,700. As we all are aware, Sri Lanka’s hospital system is not equipped with sufficient facilities nor adequately staffed to cater the health care needs of the daunting new infections. The hospitals are already overwhelmed, and the persistent increase of new infections can worsen the shortage of Medical Equipment and Essentials required. Hence, this shortage of Medical Equipment and Essentials should be addressed with utmost urgency to save innocent lives from the deadly pandemic.
Therefore, UMQS Alumni Qatar has made arrangements to provide the most critical Medical Equipment and Essentials to the most in need National Hospitals identified by the health care professionals.
