OBJECTIVES OF UMQS ALUMNI QATAR

• To act as a forum that brings together and represents the quantity surveying graduates of the Department of Building Economics, University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka residing and/or working in the State of Qatar.

• To promote the friendship between the graduates of the Department of Building Economics, University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka.

​

• To promote the status of the bachelor's degree of Quantity Surveying (of the Department of Building Economics, University of Moratuwa).

​

• To promote welfare and well-being of the membership, the Department of Building Economics, University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka and the generally community, financially or otherwise.

​

• To collectively face common hurdles and opportunities that may be encountered by the Membership in their path to success, in a professional perspective.

​

• To work towards the betterment of the profession and the society.

​

• To act as a forum for promoting employment opportunities, continuing professional development (CPD) or educational opportunities available to the Membership and the undergraduates of the Department of Building Economics, University of Moratuwa.

​

• Where possible, to support other member organizations in their activities and events, cooperate with other non-member Sri Lankan Organizations within the community and to maintain good relationship between Qatari and other organizations in the State of Qatar, without posing any detriment to the existence and well-being of the Society at all times.

• To foster social relationships between Membership and their families.

​

• To enhance and promote the ethical values among the Membership.
